An example of U.S. style global democracy?

MONEY RULES! If you don't exempt us from your justice system, you'll be left off of the payroll.

This is similar to the way the U.S. federal government enforces national standards on things like speed limits and blood alcohol content standards for drunkness. The Feds have no power to enforce these things directly, but they have the almighty power of financial inducement: don't comply, and you'll get no federal grants for highways.

This is also related to the way the World Trade Organization flexes its power. There are no WTO police, exactly, but the rulings made in its secret court are enforced by punitive financial trade restrictions which can be very damaging, especially to poor countries.
